Khwaja Ahmad Abbas is considered one of the pioneers of Indian Parallel or Art Cinema and as a screenwriter, he is also known for writing Raj Kapoor 's best films. He set the bar for the filmmakers who came after him. He was an ace story writer, screenplay writer-director, and filmmaker.
